I wonder if . . .
Q: How can I preview the material?

You can also preview a Table of Contents by clicking on the link in the last paragraph of each product description.
Q: Is there a timeout period for the course?
A: Yes, the courses are offered as an annual subscription.
Q: Can I get a refund if my child doesn't like the course?
A: Yes. We have a 30 day money back guarantee, so you can cancel the course and get a full refund any time within 30 days of your purchase.
Q: Does the textbook grade my child's work?
A: Yes. Each section has questions for the student to answer. The questions will be scored based on whether the student completes the question successfully on their own or requests help to achieve the correct answer.
Q: How do I track the student’s progress?
A: Clicking on the "Scores" button at the bottom of the application will provide a graphical view of the students progress. You can also get a complete list of scores by choosing the "Homework scores" or "Quiz and Test scores" from the Pacing Guide.
Q: Are there tests at the end of the chapters?
A: Yes, there are predefined quizzes and tests for each chapter.
Q: I have two children, can they use the same book?
A: If you wish to keep track of scores for each of your students, they will not be able to use the same copy of the program.
Q: Do you offer tutoring?
A: No, we do not have tutors on staff.
Q: I see geometry and some other material replicated in a couple of the digital curriculum.
A: Yes, this is by design. In some cases, a topic is covered with more depth, adding complexity, in later levels. For instance, parabolas are graphed on the origin in Algebra I, and off the origin in Algebra II. Some important material is also reviewed at the beginning of a text to make sure students retain vital skills. The most significant overlap is in geometry. Some prefer to spend a year on geometry, and Kinetic Books provides a geometry textbook. Some do not - and those would find significant portions of geometry covered in pre-algebra (solids and essentials of angles). The main things students would miss by skipping geometry are (a) a significant focus on proofs and (b) much more coverage of triangles and quadrilateral figures.
Q: What do we do if we replace our computer?
A: All of your student's progress and scoring is kept on our servers. This allows you to access the content from multiple computers without worry. If you decide to move to a different computer, just refer to your email (or web store account) for the download location of the installer and you are welcome to install on any additional computers you like.
